Some more of my favorites from Bob Rivers' Audio Vault. get your music for nothin' and your hits for free. I like Bob Rivers' parody version as much as Dire Straits' original. "Why does Mark Knopfler's family constantly worry about him?" Ironically enough, I was just listening to that song at work.

It's striking how conservative the show's viewpoints often are despite its obvious non-conservative format and content. It was just a stupid two hour 'let's be offensive fest' based on a show that is capable of being so much more deep than that.

That's mostly the reason I disliked the movie. the same goes for frivolous lawsuits and clueless suburbanite mothers. I have yet to see anybody put Al Gore in his place better than Trey and Matt.

While it started out as a mindless cartoon purely intended to offend (once again - I enjoy it for the 'shut off overactive brain' value), it's become a vehicle for some very striking, acerbic, and often not very subtle, social commentary. I disagree on South Park for other reasons. I spend so much time overloading my brain that it's comforting to be able to turn it off and laugh at stupid fart jokes once in a while. That's why I'll probably be a fan of Beavis and Butt-head to the end. Hm, but sometimes you have to disconnect your brain and take in the stupidity.
